About The Course
Lion Dance is one of the most iconic traditions in Chinese culture, symbolising strength, courage, good luck, and prosperity. At CCEA, our Lion Dance programme offers students a unique opportunity to experience this vibrant heritage through hands-on training and performance practice.
The course combines traditional drumming, basic Southern Lion Dance techniques, performance skills, physical conditioning, and cultural understanding. Students will not only learn the movements and rhythm of lion dance, but also gain insight into its history and meaning in Chinese festivals and community celebrations.
Designed for children and young people aged 7+, this programme helps build confidence, teamwork, coordination, and physical strength, while fostering a deeper appreciation of Chinese cultural traditions.
